Tsonga reaches Quareter Finals of US Open

In-form Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga came back from two sets to beat American Mardy Fish 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 3-6 6-4 6-2 and reach his first US Open quarter-final. Eighth seed Fish, the revelation of the season, had looked the favourite after dominating the third set but a break of serve in the ninth game of the fourth turned the match in Tsonga's favour.

The American received raucous backing from the crowd on Arthur Ashe Stadium but, after treatment for a groin problem.
