Mark Wahlberg never wanted to quit on The Fighter. The film, which tells the true story of boxer Mickey Ward’s journey through boxing and family struggles, went in and out of many different hands. The film had different directors latch on and fall out of the project and studios green lighting and red lighting the movie until it seemed like it would never be made.
