Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal opened her title defence at the Singapore Open Super Series on a winning note. The 4th seed strike former world champion Lan Lu 21-18, 13-21, 21-16 in the first round match in just under an hour.
Saina's win comes as the second win over her Chinese complement in quick sequence after their meeting at the Thailand Open had also gone in Saina's favour. The 21-year-old from Hyderabad is looking for her second title after winning the Swiss Open this year.
