Saina Nehwal win over Lu Lan in the Thailand Grand Prix to reach the fourth round on Wednesday. Saina, the top seed in the event, won 21-17 14-21 21-18 in a match that last for almost an hour. Among the other Indians in the fray, P Kashyap and Saurabh Verma also progressed, registering complementary victories.
Fourteenth seed Kashyap, who won bronze at the Asian Games last November, was too strong for Poodchalat Pisit, winning 21-17 9-21 21-11 in 52 minutes and then had an easier second round in opposition to Indonesia's Sukamta Evert, current 21-13 21-14.Verma did not have things easy for him against Andre Kurniawan Tedjono as he lost the first game 15-21.But the Indian came back strongly in the next two games winning 21-19 22-20 to seal the match in 71 minutes.
